This informative webinar aims to deepen understanding of diabetes for nursing roles, including delving deeper into diagnosis of diabetes considering rarer types and how they may present in practice, and reviewing treatment options and building on injectable treatment therapies including insulin therapy.
This learning event is aimed at Registered Nurses and other nursing roles who have experience in diabetes, working in any sector. This event is organised by RCN Wales, but you do not need to be based in Wales to join us!
This webinar aims to deepen understanding of diabetes for nursing roles.
Topics include:
- Delving deeper into diagnosis of diabetes considering rarer types and how they may present in practice
- Reviewing treatment options and building on injectable treatment therapies including insulin therapy
- Recognising the cardiometabolic approach to diabetes considering monitoring requirements and escalation measures
- Understanding glucose monitoring options including continuous glucose monitoring and guidance for how to use in practice
- Interactive learning through case studies, quizzes and questions to keep you engaged and involved!
This webinar can contribute to participatory learning which can be used for revalidation.

Cancellations received BEFORE 4.30PM TUESDAY 16 FEBRUARY 2027 will be refunded, minus a 25% administration fee. Regrettably, no refunds can be processed after this date. Places can only be substituted with the prior knowledge and agreement of RCN Events.
This event will take place virtually via a Microsoft Teams meeting. You do not need to have a Teams account to view the meeting, the internet browser on any internet enabled device should work - you can view the event via a web browser, (recommended on desktop or laptop for full functionality) and on a phone or tablet you also have the option of downloading the free Microsoft Teams app. You will be sent a confirmation email once you have booked your place, and the link to join the event 48 - 24 hours before the event start time.
